Sometimes this happens due to a personal impulse. Like if our karma gets spoiled and there are ghostly karmas, and someone in the form of a ghost collides with us, then he can take water and food for his nourishment only after coming in the body of a human being, he cannot do it independently hen it gets charged.

There is a description of Gokarna ji in the scriptures, a ghost appeared before him

There are ghost possessions, if there is a ghost possession and one goes to someone and gets cured then it is a different matter. But if there is a problem like headache, stomach ache, dizziness etc then one should consult a doctor, if it is not coming out in the doctor’s examination then it is a different matter.

But Premanand Maharaj Ji says that we have faith in the name.If the name is chanted, the name of the Lord is recited, then the ghost will not come to haunt, even if it does, it will be destroyed. See if Hanuman ji is in Chalisha or not, ghosts and spirits will not come near, when Mahavir recites the name. If you remember Hanuman ji, then the ghost will not come, there is no need to go to any tantrik. The most holy Mahatma is Hanuman ji Maharaj, we should remember him.
